I've been promoted to be an admin in Egypt Gnu/Linux User Group as was discussed in this thread.. It was really nice to be promoted by the community without even requesting it, this community where i first learned what's free software and what's GNU, who made linux and what's the open source movement. These philosophies changed lots of things in my mind and made me unable to do anything but to follow them, and learn from them.. teach them to others and spread their knowledge, and fight who wants only to make money out of us as any shepherd do with his flock of sheep. learned how to build a new model that makes the current model obsolete, and how to win such a battle. I can't say that I did any of that, but at least learned it, and saw how this happened.

These philosophy was the main thing that made me learn the software, that software that made me now in the position of a team leader for system administrators in a great company that gives me a lot of trust too.

Thank you eglug for all of that, and thank you again for making me an admin.. And I promise I'll try to do what I can for you.

And special thank you for Alaa who first suggeted that I would be promoted to an admin, and to Darkness_Wolf who started the thread. Thanks for everyone ever been in EGLUG in the first place, and anyone contributed in free software.
